Sunday 5th April

Iris arrives home 5.00pm

Sunday 19th April

Intruding known male, Midas, appears. A couple of attempted matings follow. Iris is not unwilling

Tuesday 21st April

Stan returns around 11am

Tuesday 28th April

Midas intrudes. Ejected by Stan and Iris

Thursday 30th April

Egg #1 laid 9.07am

Sunday 3rd May

Egg #2 laid between midnight and 6am

Wednesday 6th May

Egg #3 laid 4.46am

Friday 7th May

Stan goes missing from 6.05am to 9.08pm

Monday 1st June

One egg is completely broken and another damaged/dented during a severe hailstorm. The broken egg and contents are removed by Iris and Stan whilst the damaged one remains, along with an apparently undamaged egg. At this point it is not known which # eggs have been affected

Tuesday 2nd June

Iris removes the contents of one of the two remaining eggs, a fully developed embryo. The other egg now seen to be too badly cracked on one side to be viable.

Wednesday 3rd June

Lifeless embryo from remaining damaged egg removed and disposed of by Iris

Monday 6th July

Stan and Iris are reported to be building a nest on one of the University of Montana, Grizzly Stadium lights (currently turned off). For safety reasons, electrical wires, risk of fire, the nest will be removed once the birds migrate

Tuesday 21st July

The Grizzly Stadium nest is removed today. Stanley and Iris return to their original Hellgate nest.
